Çöpler, the biggest gold mine in Turkey and Europe, is a world-class, long-life, low-cost, epithermal gold-silver-copper deposit, located in east-central Turkey in the Erzincan Province. Discovered in 1999, Çöpler Mine produced 3 million ounces since 2011.

Çöpler Mine Company, Anagold, is 80/20 JV between SSR Mining and Lidya. Çöpler is an open-pit mine that is producing gold  from oxide ore via heap leach processing and from sulfide ore via pressure oxidation circuit (POX) respectively. The POX is unique in Turkey’s gold sector and it is one of a handful POX operations worldwide.

Çöpler still enjoys 5 million ounces reserves with satellite deposits and prospective exploration targets. Partners invested more than $1,5 bn to date, making it one of the biggest investments in Turkish mining.

With its 2700 people, Anagold is the biggest employer, tax-payer, women employer, disabled employer of eastern Turkey and provides significant contributions to the community in health, education, infrastructure, agriculture and woman entrepreneurship.
