Lidya Madencilik

It is a massive sulphide deposit formed in metamorphic schists in the province of Balıkesir in western Turkey. While the upper part of the deposit is oxidised and gold and silver mineralisation is observed, it is a sulphide deposit containing polymetallic mineralisation containing copper, zinc, gold and silver with economic value in the lower parts.

  • Lydia’s first project from exploration to production.
  • It is a mine consisting of polymetallic commodities.
  • It is located in western Turkey, close to energy lines, land and sea routes and markets.
  • The two-stage mine will produce gold and silver by heap leaching and copper and zinc by flotation.
  • With a 15-year mine life, first production was realised in 2022.

The upper portion of the deposit has been oxidized and contains gold and silver mineralization, and the bottom portion of the deposit is a sulfide zone contains a polymetallic orebody with economic values of copper, zinc, gold and silver.

The project site has easy access to electricity, motorways, ports and airports, and is located in a good location where labour and mining activities are intense.
